Red Wines That’ll Make You Sing.

Ruffino Modus 2007, Igt Toscana Blend, Tuscany Italy $28.95 (912956)

Modus is a super seductive blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot.  Like a greasy breakfast sandwich in the hands of an unshaven, hat wearing gangster.   It smells like smokey jacket, dirty money and overcooked bacon.  But it disappears in your mouth like “you’ve been hit by Smooth Criminal“.  My Modus Operandi is steal as many of these off the shelf before you do.

Santa Carolina Reserva De Familia Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Maipo Valley, Chile  $17.95 (684597)

Sweet Carolina is this a deal.  $18 for a well made, flavor driven, Chilean Cab.  Like a well cologned Neil Diamond squeezing some ripe oranges.  It’s got a powerful lingering scent, a larger than average nose, its super juicy, and its catchy like his lyrics.  Buy a few and ply up your friends because “Good times have never felt so good”. Ba Ba Bahhhh.

Rocca Delle Macìe Chianti Classico Riserva 2006, Docg, Tuscany Italy  $21.95 (930966)

Oh Rocca you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blew my mind, hey Rocca.   Pasta night, Tuesday night, Charcuterie night.   Nuff said.  If you need a Chianti in your wine fridge, buy it.  If you don’t have a wine fridge, buy one.
